Buluowan

Buluowan(view the full size image in the new window)

Buluowan means “echo” in Atayal language. In the early days, Pingpu and Atayal Tribes settled here, but now Buluowan is divided into Upper Terrace and Lower Terrace. Moreover, there are total 36 log cabins built in Mountain Moon (Shanyue) Village at the Upper Terrace to provide accommodation for visitors, and the furnishings in the log cabins are simple and unsophisticated, only straw mats and blankets are offered. However, they are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Cherry, plum, and peach trees are planted around the log cabins making the Mountain Moon (Shanyue) Village more like living in the cold weather. Approximately 7 am in the summer and 8:30 am in the winter, the sun just rises at the mountain top and shines on the cherry, plum and peach trees, making their leaves and blossoms even more colorful and brighter. This is really a stunning view which can be found nowhere else.
